Beyond the Classroom: Developing Well-Rounded Learners
While we help students build strong subject foundations, we also place great emphasis on nurturing future-ready skills such as confidence, problem-solving and critical thinking.
We believe that academic excellence and holistic development go hand in hand. While we help students build strong subject foundations, we also place great emphasis on nurturing future-ready skills such as confidence, problem-solving and critical thinking.
During our 2025 Mid-Year June Holiday Camps, we brought back our popular holiday camps:

Building Resilience & Sportsmanship
At first glance, chess may seem like a quiet, intellectual pursuit. But behind each move lies a decision-making process that mirrors real-life challenges. It involves weighing options, anticipating outcomes, and dealing with consequences.
What stood out most was not just who won or lost. It was how students responded after a defeat. Some sat quietly, reviewing where they went wrong. Others asked for guidance from our chess coaches, watched matches played by their peers, and tried again. That resilience and willingness to stand up, recalibrate, and keep going is one of the most valuable traits a student can build.
In a game where you can be on the back foot and still turn things around, students learnt not to give up until the final move. It's a powerful lesson that applies far beyond the chessboard.
Bringing Ideas to Life
For many students, our Coding Camp was their first step into creating something digital from scratch. It was not just about playing games, but about designing them.
Students applied logical reasoning, pattern recognition, and debugging strategies. One small error could affect the outcome, and they learnt to spot, test, and fix problems independently.
More importantly, they saw how their ideas could come to life. What starts as a simple concept in their mind could be turned into something real, playable, and even fun. That process of creation helps build confidence — “I made this happen.”
We’re incredibly proud of what they have created!
Overcoming Nerves & Building Confidence
Public speaking remains one of the most common fears among students (and adults). For some, the idea of standing in front of a room and sharing their thoughts can feel overwhelming. But throughout our Public Speaking Holiday Camps, we watched students take small, courageous steps to overcome those nerves.
Many spoke in front of an audience for the very first time. Some stumbled over their words. Others froze midway. Yet each attempt was followed by another, a little steadier than the last. They learnt how to organise their ideas, speak with confidence, and connect with their audience.
They stepped out of their comfort zones and took to the stage during the final showcase, presenting in front of their parents and peers. It was a proud moment where they demonstrated the confidence they had built. Each student’s progress, from quiet hesitation to steady speech, was evident in every word they shared.
These camps may have taken place over just a few days, but the lessons they offered will stay with students for a lifetime.
Whether it’s the resilience built from a chess loss, the satisfaction of debugging a game, or the confidence gained from speaking to a room full of peers, these are the building blocks of character.
