SG60: National Youth Orator Championships 2025
A national platform to empower the youths of our next generation — to become confident communicators, bold critical thinkers, and leaders who speak with clarity and conviction.
Got something to say about Singapore?
If you've got a story, a memory, or even a bold idea about Singapore’s future, you’re in the right place.
In support of SG60, we’ve put together the National Youth Orator Championships (NYOC) 2025, a national platform for your voice to be heard. Organised by Master Speakers and supported by Mind Stretcher, we’re inviting students from Primary all the way to University to speak from the heart. Participants will compete in 4 categories and explore themes that connect Singapore’s past, present and future. So whether you're passionate about our heritage, concerned about today's issues, or excited about tomorrow’s possibilities, there’s a stage for you!
Why Join NYOC 2025?
This isn’t just another competition. Here’s what’s in it for you:
Speak better, think sharper: You’ll grow in confidence, learn to think critically and express yourself clearly.
Get real coaching: Semi-finalists and finalists will receive personalised guidance from Master Speakers coaches.
Be recognised: Awards, trophies and certificates await. But more importantly, your voice will be heard.
Feature in our SG60 highlight reel: Selected speakers will be showcased in our “Voices of SG60” video.

Tips To Help You Speak Confidently
Tip 1: Write a speech only you can deliver.
The best speeches are personal. Tell a story that only you can tell.
Tip 2: Perform with purpose.
Speak to connect. Rehearse aloud, use expressions, vary your tone, pace and volume, and don’t be afraid to pause for effect.
Tip 3: Let your body say what words can’t
Use natural hand gestures and maintain eye contact. Your body language helps reinforce your message.
